On Friday, August 11, Cotuit Fire Department was called at 10:36PM for a reported structure fire at 148 Hollow Road. The home had four occupants at the time of the fire. Units responded from Cotuit, Marstons Mills, and Mashpee Fire Stations. Barnstable Police were the first to arrive and evacuated the house. Upon location, we found a 36\u2019 X 40\u2019 home with an exterior fire which had extended to the interior of the first and second floor. The long narrow access road made getting resources to the scene difficult. The fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries. The home sustained moderate damage. The fire originated in the area of the exterior electrical meter and is under investigation.
