The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with a science-based Associate\u2019s or Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred.\u00a0 The candidate will also have a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in the operations and maintenance of a public\/municipal drinking water system.\u00a0 Significant experience in water operations may be substituted for the minimum educational background.\u00a0 The candidate must also possess a Class D driver\u2019s license and be certified by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure Board of Drinking Water with a minimum of D2 and T1 certifications as well as possess a Massachusetts Backflow Device Tester\/Surveyors License.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operations and maintenance of the district\u2019s drinking water distribution and treatment facilities and management of the general water quality programs under the direction of Superintendent and will assist the Superintendent with all day-to-day responsibilities. This is an hourly position, Monday \u2013 Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and requires administrative and physical work inside and outside in all weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>If selected for the position the candidate shall undergo a pre-employment physical and CORI check.
