{"id":2209,"date":"2021-03-18T13:31:48","date_gmt":"2021-03-18T17:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cotuitfiredistrict.org\/waterdepartment\/?p=2209"},"modified":"2021-03-18T13:31:48","modified_gmt":"2021-03-18T17:31:48","slug":"water-main-flushing-to-begin-april-6-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cotuitfiredistrict.org\/waterdepartment\/2021\/03\/18\/water-main-flushing-to-begin-april-6-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Water Main Flushing to Begin April 6, 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><u>WATER MAIN FLUSHING NOTICE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Cotuit Water Department will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) from:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Tuesday, April 06, 2021 \u2013 Wednesday, June 30, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a09 AM \u2013 4 PM\u00a0 \u00a0Monday through Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Water main flushing is part of a preventive maintenance program being undertaken by the Water Department to ensure that water quality is not <\/strong><strong>being compromised.<\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: inherit\">\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Discoloration of the water may occur.\u00a0 This is an unavoidable effect of <\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: inherit\">flushing, with an aesthetic value only, and is not considered a health hazard.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The water should clear after a short period of time. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Signs will be visible in flushing areas.\u00a0 Residents in these areas are advised <\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: inherit\">to refrain from laundering between 9 am and 4 pm and to set water aside for drinking and cooking purposes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>All village residents are advised to check water clarity before use, while this program is in operation, as water lines outside the flushing area could be affected. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Flushing locations will be posted daily on <em>cotuitfiredistrict.org <\/em>and on\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facebook at facebook.com\/Cotuit-Water-Department.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>We appreciate the cooperation of our customers and apologize for any inconvenience.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Please call Cotuit Water at 508-428-2687 with any questions.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WATER MAIN FLUSHING NOTICE The Cotuit Water Department will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) from: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Tuesday, April 06, 2021 \u2013 Wednesday, June 30, 2021 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a09 AM \u2013 4 PM\u00a0 \u00a0Monday through Friday \u00a0Water main flushing is part&hellip;
