ATTENTION <\/strong>COTUIT RESIDENTS – <\/strong>WATER MAIN FLUSHING NOTICE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cotuit Water Department will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) from:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Wednesday, March 15, 2022 \u2013 Friday, June 16, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a09 AM \u2013 4 PM\u00a0 \u00a0Monday through Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n

W<\/strong>ater main flushing is part of a preventive maintenance program being undertaken by the Water Department to ensure that water quality is not <\/strong>being compromised. <\/strong>Discoloration of the water may occur.\u00a0 This is an unavoidable effect of <\/strong>flushing, with an aesthetic value only, and is not considered a health hazard. <\/strong>The water should clear after a short period of time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Signs will be visible in flushing areas.\u00a0 Residents in these areas are advised <\/strong>to refrain from laundering between 9 am and 4 pm and to set water aside for drinking and cooking purposes. <\/strong>All village residents are advised to check water clarity before use, while this program is in operation, as water lines outside the flushing area could be affected.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flushing locations will be posted daily on cotuitfiredistrict.org <\/em>and on Facebook at facebook.com\/Cotuit-Water-Department.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
