Water Main Flushing &#8211; 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p><strong>ATTENTION <\/strong><strong>COTUIT RESIDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Cotuit Water Department will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) from:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>March 10, 2025 \u2013 June 20, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 9 AM \u2013 4 PM\u00a0 \u00a0Monday through Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Water main flushing is part of a preventive maintenance program being undertaken by the Water Department to ensure that water quality is not being compromised.<\/p>\n<p>Discoloration of the water may occur.\u00a0 This is an unavoidable effect of\u00a0flushing, with an aesthetic value only, and is not considered a health hazard.\u00a0The water should clear after a short period of time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Signs will be visible in flushing areas.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Residents in these areas are advised to refrain from laundering between 9 am and 4 pm and to set water aside for drinking and cooking purposes.\u00a0 All village residents are advised to check water clarity before use by running their cold water only, while this program is in operation, as water lines outside the flushing area could be affected. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Flushing locations will be posted daily on <em>cotuitfiredistrict.org <\/em>and on Facebook at facebook.com\/Cotuit-Water-Department.<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate the cooperation of our customers and apologize for any inconvenience.<\/p>\n<p>Please call Cotuit Water at 508-428-2687 with any questions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ATTENTION COTUIT RESIDENTS The Cotuit Water Department will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) from: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 March 10, 2025 \u2013 June 20, 2025 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 9 AM \u2013&hellip;
