WATER MAIN FLUSHING NOTICE_____________________________________________<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cotuit Water Department will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) from:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Monday, April 2nd \u2013 Friday, June 1st 9 AM \u2013 4 PM\u00a0 Monday through Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Water main flushing is part of a preventive maintenance program being undertaken by the Water Department to ensure that water<\/p>\n

quality is not being compromised.<\/p>\n

Discoloration of the water may occur.\u00a0 This is an unavoidable effect of flushing, with an aesthetic value only, and is not considered a health hazard.\u00a0 The water should clear after a short period of time.<\/p>\n

Signs will be visible in flushing areas.\u00a0 Residents in these areas are advised to refrain from laundering between 9 am and 4 pm and to set water aside for drinking and cooking purposes.<\/p>\n

All village residents are advised to check water clarity before use, while this program is in operation, as water lines outside the flushing area could be affected.<\/p>\n
