WATER MAIN FLUSHING NOTICE<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Cotuit Water Department will be flushing water mains (weather permitting) from:<\/b><\/p>\n

Monday, April 14, 2014 \u2013 Friday, June 13, 2014<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a09 AM \u2013 4 PM\u00a0 \u00a0Monday through Friday<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0Water main flushing is part of a preventive maintenance program being undertaken by the Water Department to ensure that water quality is not being compromised. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0Discoloration of the water may occur.\u00a0 This is an unavoidable effect of flushing, with an aesthetic value only, and is not considered a health hazard. The water should clear after a short period of time.<\/b><\/p>\n

Signs will be visible in flushing areas.\u00a0 Residents in these areas are advised to refrain from laundering between 9 am and 4 pm\u00a0 and to set water aside for drinking and cooking purposes.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0All village residents are advised to check water clarity before use, while this program is in operation, as water lines outside the flushing area could be affected. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0Flushing locations will be posted daily on cotuitfiredistrict.org.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
