Water Department

Our mission is to provide a clean and adequate water supply for the Cotuit District through a central system for drinking, domestic and commercial use and fire protection. We need to own and control sufficient natural land areas for well-field production and aquifer protection. We are constantly evaluating our infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance for public health and planning for the future needs of the village we serve. We aim to provide efficient and friendly service to our ratepayers and customers.

Water Rate Schedule

The following rates are currently in effect:

Minimum Bill: $20.00 for the first 10,000 GAL

Excess Bill:

Water used over 10,000 gallons is billed at the following rates:

10,001 – 20,000 gallons: $4.00/per 1000 gallons
20,001 – 40,000 gallons: $5.50/per 1000 gallons
40,001 – 60,000 gallons: $7.15/per 1000 gallons
60,001 – 100,000 gallons: $17.25/per 1000 gallons
100,001 – 200,000 gallons: 25.00/per 1000 gallons
Over 200,000 gallons: $37.50/per 1000 gallons

Usage period 01/01 – 06/30 – Billed in July

Usage period 07/01 – 12/31 – Billed in January
