Executive Session: The purpose of the executive session is to discuss the CFD’s Fire Fighter’s contract negotiations an open meeting discussion  of which would be detrimental to the bargaining   position of the District.

Please note:  The list of matters are those reasonably anticipated by the committee chairman which may be discussed at the meeting.  Not all items listed may in fact be discussed, and other items not listed may in fact be discussed to the extent permitted by law.  It is possible that, if it so votes, the Committee may go into executive session.  The Committee may also act on items in an order other than they appear on this agenda.  Persons interested are advised that, in the event any matter taken up at the meeting remains unfinished at the close of the meeting, the matter may put off to a continued session of this meeting with proper notice.

The Cotuit Fire District Prudential Committee meetings are conducted incompliance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law (MGL Chapter 30A, Sections 18-25).For regular meetings of the Prudential Committee, there shall be a reasonable period of time for public comment.  The public does not participate in Committee discussions and/or deliberations. No person shall address a meeting of a public body without permission of the chair; and all persons shall, at the request of the chair, be silent.  No person shall disrupt the proceedings of a meeting of a public body.  If, after clear warning from the chair, a person continues to disrupt the proceedings, the chair may order the person to withdraw from the meeting; and if the person does not withdraw, the chair may authorize a constable or other officer to remove the person from the meeting.”
